May Announcements and Thoughts about Text Messaging

Some ranting and raving:

I am thinking a lot these days about what is appropriate to talk about over text messages and how to respond when someone writes something "important" or "serious" over a text message. I found this article that I think sums up why it is not a good idea to engage in these conversations over texting, but I think what is also problematic is that some people really prefer to talk about difficult or emotional subjects over texting, because it is easier for them. But if I don't want to, it is hard to be in a relationship or friendship with them. It means laying down the boundaries (ie: Can we talk about this in person or over the phone?) Here is the article that I found, but I am looking for more. Could be a very interesting psychological study or maybe a film:
